13 Men Arrested In Connection To Istanbul Bombing
The world was again shocked when news broke that the airport in Istanbul was bombed. In many cases, it takes some time before there are arrests, but the NYDN is reporting that authorities may already have apprehended the culprits…
Thirteen people have reportedly been arrested for the terrorist attack at Istanbul’s Ataturk Airport, with authorities revealing new information about the bombers.
The suicide attackers were from Russia, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, a Turkish official says.
Multiple Turkish news outlets reported the arrests Thursday morning, with NTV saying three foreign nationals were among those taken into custody.
Tuesday’s attack killed 42 people and injured more than 200 others. Turkish authorities and U.S. officials like CIA Director John Brennan believe that it is linked to ISIS, though the terror group has not claimed responsibility.
Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim said that three attackers arrived at the airport, Europe’s third-largest, and opened fired before at least two blew themselves up.
Hopefully these are actually the men responsible and they can lead authorities to information about other terrorist attacks/groups.
