Adrienne Bailon Talks Israel Haughton Engagement

Remember when we told you that Adrienne Bailon and her Christian boo Israel Haughton got engaged after just six months of dating???

Well the “The Real” host who ended her engagement to Lenny Santiago in September 2015 before accepting Israel’s proposal in August 2016, is “super excited and super happy” about her love life.

According to Adrienne she initially thought their trip to Paris where Haughton proposed was to celebrate her parents’ marriage before her man whipped out a ring.

She tells Hollywood Today Live:

“We were vacationing in Europe,” said Bailon. “We had just gone to Greece and then we ended up coming back to Paris. And I was surprised with my parents showing up.[…]
My parents being there was so special to me. They actually were celebrating twenty years of marriage. And I thought, originally, that we were just celebrating them and obviously when the surprise happened, I was super excited and super happy. So, I can’t wait.”Instagram Adrienne Bailon Israel Houghton and kids

She also added that THIS is how she knew Israel was “the one” even though they only dated for six months prior to the proposal.

“We were friends for three years before,” said Bailon. “And I think that makes a big difference. And being older, you kind of know what you want. I think when you’re younger you have to date around, kind of see what you like, what you don’t. There’s different things, honestly, from different people that I’ve dated that I’m like ‘I love this quality…don’t love this quality so much.’ So I’m going to be 33 this year. I know exactly what I wanted and he is everything I wanted and more.

And we’ve been…he is my best friend,” she added. “And I think that makes such a big difference. And we never thought we’d end up together which allows you not to have your representative there…When you like somebody and you’re going into the relationship liking them, you have ulterior motives. It’s like ‘I really want him to like me too.’ Where that wasn’t there. It was just like, ‘Oh hey what’s up.’ And we’d hang out with a bunch of friends and I would say ridiculous things out of my mouth that I probably wouldn’t say if I really liked him. And he got to know the real me and I love that.”

They’re cutely Christianly coupled up, riiiiight????
