Cops Investigation Proves Aqib Talib Shot Himself Inside Dallas Nightclub
Back in June, a harrowing report surfaced that Denver Broncos’ cornerback Aqib “Charlamagne Tha God” Talib was shot in leg when a scuffle broke out inside a Dallas nightclub.
Welp, today, according to BleacherReport, it was discovered by Dallas Police that Talib is actually taking over for Plaxico Burress for the ’16 and 2017. The fuzz say that they have evidence that proves that he actually shot himself.
When questioned by police after the shooting, Talib said to WFAA via 9News:
Talib has told people close to him he accidently shot himself, but police are still investigating the matter. WFAA reported Talib told police he was hanging out at a park with friends when he was shot at about 3:40 a.m. Sunday.
“Everything was a blur and I was too intoxicated to remember what happened,” Talib told police, according to WFAA.
No need to fret, the cops have unblurred everything and that clarity of vision may lead to prison time for the the prized defensive back according to TheWashingtonPost:
Although carrying handguns either openly or concealed is legal in Texas with a license, a law that took effect Jan. 1 prohibits carrying a weapon without a license into a place that sells alcohol. A violation of the law is a Class 3 felony. It is a Class A misdemeanor punishable by up to one year in county jail to have a handgun while intoxicated with or without a license, and it is a Class B misdemeanor punishable by up to six months in jail to discharge a weapon in a public place.
Just seems so much easier, not to mention LEGAL, to just hire a security guard or two for the night. But hey, what do we know… *eye-roll emoji*
