Lyfe Jennings Accused Of Trying To Brainwash Kids
Singer Lyfe Jennings‘ baby mama has accused him of negatively interfering with his two kids religious beliefs and affecting their emotional and mental health … and his baby mama is demanding a judge find him in contempt for violating a court order.
Joy Bounds, the mother of two of his children, recently filed a petition for contempt in Georgia Court accusing the singer of violating the terms of their child support agreement.
The two battled it out in court over custody and support years ago, with a final order being entered into their case back in 2009. However, since the order was entered, Joy says Lyfe has violated the agreement by refusing to provide proof of life insurance and not paying his kid’s medical expenses. Further, the woman said Lyfe has been negatively intervening in the kids religious beliefs and has screwed around with their emotional and mental health.
The judge gave Joy primary physical AND legal custody of their kids. She was granted the power to make all important life decisions for her sons. The singer was awarded only visitation in the order. He was also ordered to pay $4,000 a month in support to Joy for his boys.
She filed suit demanding Lyfe be found in contempt of court for violating the 2009 order and wants the judge to order him to comply ASAP. Earlier this year, the baby mama hit Lyfe with a restraining order, and he had to stay 200 yards away from Joy and their two sons. According to her petition, she accused Lyfe of trying to brainwash their boys and even threatened her with violence.
The singer was arrested back in 2008 for allegedly kicking down Joy’s home door, firing shots and proceeding to lead police on a high speed chase. He was sentenced to three years in prison.
She claimed she feared for her safety after Lyfe made light threats including telling his baby mama she wasn’t hard to find and told her “I’m gunna remember this” after an incident.
Joy said Lyfe would take their kids to the park and feed them lies about her in an attempt to turn them against her. Lyfe claimed it was all lies, but he admitted to cursing at her during a confrontation where he accused her of being a bad mom. He claimed he was a good father and others would back up his claim.
Lyfe’s publicist declined comment Thursday.
