Frank Ocean Misses Deadline For 2017 Grammy Awards

Well, there’s at least one name you can be sure you won’t see when the 2017 Grammy nominees are announced on December 8.

Despite dropping not one, but TWO albums back to back after years of anticipation for his second project, Frank Ocean is not a contender in next year’s ceremony. Blonde (Blond) and his “visual album” Endless, each released in August — well before the Grammy deadline of September 30, 2016.

According to Billboard, a source confirmed that neither album was submitted for Grammy consideration. There’s no mention of paperwork coming in late — just that none was ever filed.

We’re assuming maybe Frank didn’t want to throw his hat in for the Grammy competition? We can’t imagine why that would be, though.

Do you think Frank would have taken a couple trophies home if he had made it in the running??
