Justin Timberlake Facing Jail Time For Posting Selfie From Voting Booth
While many of us are eager to do our civic duty by voting in this year’s Presidential election, don’t end up like Justin Timberlake.
According to TMZ, the district attorney in Shelby County, Tennessee is investigating whether or not JT should do 30 days in the whoscow for snapping a selfie while he was in the voting booth Monday afternoon.
A new law enacted last year makes it illegal to take photos or record conversations that take place at the polls. Law breakers could face a month of jail time and a $50 fine.
An election board official put on their cape for Timberlake saying he should be celebrated for using his celebrity platform to encourage people to vote.
Guess we’ll wait and see how much of a d**k the D.A. is. Make sure you know the laws in your area before you get all selfie happy in the booth.
