Tamron Hall Creates Domestic Violence Survivor’s Fund
Television host Tamron Hall has created a fund to support victims of domestic violence after losing her sister more than 12 years ago. Hall’s sister Renate was found brutally beaten and floating face down in a small pool in Houston after suffering through a violent relationship for years.
The ‘Today’ anchor is honoring her lare sister by launching “The Tamron ♥ Renate Fund” which provides support for victims as well as educates their friends and family members so they can learn how to become a better support system.
The survivor’s fund will also offer resources like shelter and legal expenses for victims and their children:
Women and families can call Safe Horizon’s 24-hour hotline (1-800-621-HOPE (4673) as another alternative to learning how they can help survivors. Learn more about the fund HERE.
