Dallas Father Sues Black Lives Matter For Son’s Death
Texas father, Enrique Zamarripa, has filed a $550 million lawsuit against the “Black Lives Matter” organization accusing the group of inciting the deadly sniper attack on Dallas police officers this summer reports Newsone.
Enrique Zamarripa, the father of slain Officer Patrick Zamarripa, seeks $550 million in damages. The federal suit alleges that BLM and other groups promoted a “a war on police” that inspired the shooter.
Zamarripa, 32, was patrolling a peaceful rally July 7 in downtown Dallas in the aftermath of back-to-back police shootings of Black men in Minnesota and Louisiana. As the march ended, Micah Johnson opened fire on the police, killing five officers including Zamarripa.
The father told told The Star-Telegram: “I want justice for my son, he served three tours in Iraq, he protected his country, and he protected everybody. And he gave up his life doing that.”
