Grandson Accidentally Kills Grandmother In Horrific Car Accident
Losing a beloved family member can be extremely painful, exponentially so if you are the one responsible for said death.
The NYDailyNews reports the accidental death of 75-year-old grandmother Chandravti Lakhan was pronounced dead at Long Island Jewish Medical Center after her 17-year-old grandson backed into her in the family driveway.
The teen named Jadesh was moving a Toyota Sequoia to make it easier for grandma to get in, and didn’t see her as she stepped into his path.
A neighbor who witnessed the horrific accident says:
“They were all headed out. They were dressed up to go somewhere, most likely church. They all live here. Mom, dad, children and grandparents. It’s his grandmother from his mom’s side. There are five children in the house.”
Patel described Lakhan as an “extremely friendly” neighbor. She said they often talked over the fence while gardening.
“I’d see her every day in her backyard,” Patel said. “We’d share vegetables and talk. I’m going to miss her. I keep having tears in my eyes.”
All these damn onions…
The police are investigating the incident but say its not likely that Jadesh will be charged with a crime.
