Indiana Man Missing For 2 Years Found Dead In His Grandmother’s Attic

A horrified grandmother discovered that her grandson who had been missing for 2 years was dead in her attic the whole time.

According to ErieNewsNow, 21-year-old Dyquain Rogers was unable to be found beginning in late 2014. Family and friends organized massive search parties to find him to no avail.

Wednesday, his body was discovered when his grandmother heard something fall up against the attic door.

She called for help, to her home at 25th and German, and that’s when what is believed to be his body was discovered.

Coroner Lyell Cook tells Erie News Now there are no signs of foul play, and it appears to be a suicide.

Cook says he will use dental records and DNA to positively identify the body, Cook has not yet confirmed it is that of Dyquain Rogers.

Says Dyquain’s mother, Carol:

“I just kept pretending like he just left Erie, so I just kept focusing on that, that he left here, that’s what I kept saying,”

How heartbreaking must it be to be searching for a loved one for two years, just to realize that not only are your worst fears confirmed, but he’s literally be right next to you the whole time.

R.I.P. Dyquain. Prayers up for the family.
