Chapecoense Soccer Player Survives Plane Crash, Doesn’t Know Teammates Are Dead

Two weeks ago, we reported on the tragic plane crash that cost 75 passengers their lives, while only 6 survived.

One of those survivors, Helio Hermito Zampier Neto, a 31-year-old Chape soccer player, still doesn’t know that his team is dead or that he was involved in a plane crash according to NYDailyNews.

A psychiatrist from the hospital that Neto is currently being treated at says he believes that it is best for Neto’s mental health if he not be informed of the tragedy.

The team’s doctor, Carlos Mendonca, told Globo, “It’s a recommendation from the psychologist not to tell him,” about the crash.

The goal being, “to avoid any emotional shock that would be potentially damaging for his clinical recovery at this moment,” he said.

Damn, so, when exactly is a good time to tell this poor guy that all his friends are dead?
