Sony Wants The Jeffersons And Good Times Reboots
Apparently, Sony executives are in the pre-planning stage of bringing some of your favorite classic shows back from the dead. According to Variety, remakes of Norman Lear’s best-known shows might be coming to a TV near you…
“There is some talk about doing some of the original shows, redoing them with today’s stars,” Lear told Variety. “There is a possibility that we’ll do ‘All in the Family,’ ‘Maude,’ ‘The Jeffersons,’ “Good Times.’”
Discussions about remaking more of Lear’s catalog come as Sony gears up for the premiere of the new “One Day at a Time,” which re-imagines Lear’s ’80s sitcom about a single mother raising two children. The new series which premieres on Netflix Jan. 6, focuses on a Latino family with a female Army veteran at its center.
Do you think we need reboots of these classic shows?!
