Whitney’s First Interview In 7 Years Will Be With Good Ol’ Harpo

- By Bossip Staff

Whitney Houston is officially on the comeback trail and Oprah will help christen her arrival. Oprah said something quite powerful about the highly anticipated interview:

Whitney Houston will give her first interview in seven years when she sits down with Oprah Winfrey next month. The 46-year-old singer, who has made headlines in recent years for her alleged drug use and divorce from singer Bobby Brown, is poised to make a big comeback with her new album due on Aug. 31. Winfrey said Houston will also sing some new songs from “I Look to You,” according to the Daily News. The show will air on “Oprah” on Sept. 14.

“It’s the most anticipated music interview of the decade,” Winfrey said.

Welcome back Whitney. The part that scares us is that Whitney will once again be a Hollyweirdian after her album takes off, we just pray for no relapse.

Time will tell to see if Whitney is now on the right track or not. For now lets wait and see what her music comeback is really gonna be like come aug 31 when her album drops. I hope if age and crack ain’t messed up her voice yet, she can still hit those high octaves she used to back in the crack free days.

Yeah, whitney and mariah were on the show together, and whitney totally took over. mariah was looking as dismal as her stage presence lol

Praying for Whitney triumph because she has sure had a lot imitators that were just charlatans to the throne…Oprah ummm…I’m happy for her success as a black woman in this world, but I’m hoping she can get or remain real because I’m fairly sick of her playing to camera and her fake shenanigans.

Whitney has been on Oprah several times- she’s been on with the cast of Waiting to exhale, with Mariah for the Prince of Egypt and their albums and now again.

whitney looks great and seems to be in a happy place. I’ve reserved my spot in the front of the tv for that day and no body better come mess with me.

so proud of you Whitney- Stand up and represent.

We need to support her and others who are trying to make a positive difference in thier life. MJ is gone and this is what we have left in terms of internationally well regarded icons.

I am waiting for Whitney to come clean the way Natalie Cole did. Natalie joked about a Good Morning America interview she did in the early 80’s claiming to be clean. Natalie said she was so damn high in that interview. When the clip was shown while Natalie was joking about it, you can clearly see how high she was. Natalie said she had tooted minutes before the segment started. When an addict is totally clean, they can joke & talk openly about addiction. If Whitney start up with that mess about having bad habits but not considering herself an addict (2003, Diane Sawyer), you will know she is still smoking.

Whitney was a friend of MJ, I hope but it will never happen that Whitney checks Oprah for talking sideways about MJ. Oprah made it a point to say that a grown blank man had no right sleeping with little boys. But didn’t address the fact that MJ said, during the interview that he placed pillows on the floor and he slept on the floor. or that the kids wanted to sleep with him. And then for her to ask LMP what was she thinking marrying MJ? Instead of starting gossip she should have been open-minded and just addressed the facts. Now, when her name is thrown in the mud, how will she handle the chaos. I also hate the fact that Oprah will talk about people on her show, but sometimes won’t let the people on her show to defend themselves, i.e. MJ. And how she’s all for the welfare of children but had Russell Simmons on her show, but didn’t and have not clown him or interrogate him for justifying mining for diamonds in Africa. And African children are victims of the diamond trade. Noone wants to attack Oprah on her beliefs but she can go after anyone. That’s not fair.
