Teacher Fired Over Old Porn Appearance

A sixth-grade teacher is fighting to get her job back after the school board was advised that she appeared in a freaky flick over a decade ago.

38-year-old Resa Woodward was pulled from the classroom at the Young Women’s STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) Academy in Dallas last November after news was suddenly spread that she had gotten nasty in front of the camera back when she was 22 years old.

According to Dallas News, the school had already known about Woodward’s involvement in the porn industry since last March, when an anonymous tip came through from a concerned party that claimed they didn’t want the young girls at the Academy to be exposed to such materials and accused Woodward of being deceptive to students and parents by not disclosing this information about her past.

At the time, the school found that Woodward was not in violation of any school or district codes, and that all should be fine as long as the information didn’t go public.

But…it did. And Woodward was pulled from the school.

Woodward says she was forced into the industry by an older man she was involved with, but was able to escape that dark situation, finish school, and become a teacher. As she told Dallas News on Tuesday:

“I taught in an all-girls STEAM academy that was all about empowerment for women. The sad thing is that if these girls find out that I’m being punished for something that I did nearly 20 years ago and had no control of and fought to get out of, well, what does that say about empowerment?”

Hmmm…do you think she deserves to be fired? Or if the “concerned parent” that was so busy diving deep into PornHub that they found flicks from 2001 had just kept their mouth shut…would any of this even be a concern?
