50 Cent's Son Marquise

This is bittersweet. Just as it seems 50 Cent is turning his back further on his son Marquise, the young man is embarking on a new career in music.

Monday Marquise Jackson debuted his song, “Different” on Rap Up. Ironically, the date also marked the 14th year anniversary of his father’s hit debut studio album, Get Rich Or Die Tryin.’

Inspired by Dr. Dre’s Eminem and Xzibit-assisted “What’s the Difference” single off 2001, the confessional track also addresses Marquise’s fractured relationship with his dad. “Lost my pops, he’s still alive,” raps Jackson.

Do you think Fiddy will take the time to listen to his boy?

It’s good to see Marquise stretching his wings. He seems like a solid kid — it just sucks that his parents’ issues have put him in an estranged situation with his dad. What do you think it will take for 50 to change and be more open?

What did you think of Marquise’s song?
