Man Attacked Restaurant Worker With Pipe While Yelling “Go Back To Your Country Terrorist”

It seems like every day in Drumpf’s America brings a new report of a hate crime against an Arab or Muslim person.

A 52-year-old Oregon man was arrested this week after attacking an employee at Al Aqsa Fine Middle Eastern Cuisine in Salem while screaming “Go back to your country terrorist.” That’s not all though.

According to the Statesman reports Jason Kendall told police he went into the restaurant during a “warrior’s path” walk down State Street when he saw a woman inside who he thought was being held as a slave because “that is what Arabs do” and he saw her shirt as signal. Kendall said he began yelling because he saw a “Saddam Hussein looking guy” and that he walked into the restaurant to tell the woman she was “free to leave.”

Kendall initially complied after an employee asked him to leave the establishment, but he returned about five minutes later, this time yelling “get out of America” and “Arab, you need to leave (expletive).”

He told police that he picked up a plastic “evil totem” outside the restaurant with Arabic writing on it, took it and threw it at a worker’s head.

Oh, but it gets worse.

The restaurant employee told police Kendall threw the plastic object at his head and then came at him with the pipe, while yelling expletives.

Kendall continued to curse and yell as he beat the restaurant worker in the skull with the pipe, which he called “the horn of Gabriel.”

Police who arrived on the scene were able to feel a large bump on the employee’s head.

Kendall has alleged that his attack was in self-defense, saying that the man he attacked was armed with what he believed was an ice-pick under a napkin.

Kendall has been charged with one count of second-degree assault, unlawful use of a weapon and second-degree intimidation. He is being held in Marion County Jail on $65,000 bail. He is scheduled for an arraignment indictment on Friday, March 17 at 8:30 a.m. with Judge Daniel Wren.
