James O’Keefe and Hannah Giles, who have performed sting operations on ACORN employees disguised themselves as a pimp and a prostitute, have hit ACORN offices in NYC.
In a recent visit to a Brooklyn ACORN office, employees explained to the pimp and prostitute how they could launder their income to appear legitimate so that they could receive low income housing:
Vodpod videos no longer available.
As in their previous undercover stings, filmmaker James O’Keefe, 25, and partner Hannah Giles, 20, who posed as a prostitute, received advice from ACORN workers on how to launder their earnings and avoid detection from law enforcement officials while running a prostitution business.
The ACORN employees suggest that the purpose of “Eden’s” business remain a secret as they seek to obtain financing. “You know, what goes on in the house, we don’t care,” an ACORN worker says on the video. “We just help you with the mortgage.”
As a result, the two employees have been fired and are now added to the list of previous ACORN, Association of Community Organizers for Reform Now, employees who have been terminated as a result of the same sting operation involving the undercover pimp and prostitute. ACORN, which was established in the 70’s is the nation’s largest grassroots community organization of low to moderate income people with over 400,000 member families in 110 cities across the country.
