Students Arrested, Involved In Heinous Texas High School Hazing Scandal
Two unidentified high school student were arrested in Texas Monday, after an explosive scandal rocked their city of La Vernia. Initially, police questioned 7 students about the incident but, they were all released. There have been allegations of “severe” hazing incidents involving students at the school where soda bottles, bats and broom sticks–amongst other things, were used to sexually assault male victims.
According to New York Daily News, The hazing allegedly happened on school grounds during the 2016-2017 school year and the 2015-2016 one. Police also believe the hazing went on during the 2014-2015. The incidents involve players on La Vernia High School’s football, baseball and basketball teams. Ten students so far have come forward as victims of these horrible hazing rituals. Police say hey expect more to come forward.
One parent of a victim at the school said “kids were holding them down in the locker rooms, there was a lookout at the door watching for coaches not to come. They hold them down and stick various items up their rectum… including coke bottles, deodorant bottles, steel pipes, baseball bats and broom sticks.” Wow.
The weird part about it is, similar hazing might have happened at the city’s middle school, according to Fox San Antonio. Two male students were taken out of the high school in cuffs yesterday. There are no reports yet on specific charges they face.
