John McAfee Says ‘Morgan Freeman Should Play Me In A Movie’
Johnny Depp is already rumored to be playing John McAfee, an antivirus software mogul accused of rape and murder, in an upcoming biopic according to Deadline. McAfee says Johnny is talented and all, but, the cybersecurity pioneer believes Morgan Freeman would be better suited to play the role.
McAfee tells Newsweek, “I think Depp is as good as Javier Bardem, John Turturro, Mickey Rourke or Morgan Freeman [to play the part]. I am not joking about the latter. I pray for a time when the skin tone is not a factor in character choice. From what I know of Freeman, his character closest matches mine.” Well, alright then.
According to Raw, McAfee’s life would be an interesting movie if it’s pulled off successfully. In 2013, the software mogul fled the country to Belize, after being connected to a murder at his neighbor’s house. He stayed there for several years. He pioneered antivirus software in 1987 and is 71 years old today.
