Bill O’Reilly Will Take 2-Week Break Amid Sexual Harassment Allegations

Well, well, well, isn’t this convenient.

Bill O’Reilly took to the air last night and announced that he would be taking an extended break from his show. This comes as sexual harassment allegations against him continue to be the topic of conversation and advertisers flee from his show.

Via NYDailyNews:

“Around this time of year, I grab some vacation because it’s spring and Easter time,” O’Reilly told viewers towards the end of Tuesday’s show. “Last fall I booked a trip that should be terrific. Not going to tell you where it is but…I’ll have a full report when I return.”

According to CNNMoney, O’Reilly isn’t guaranteed to remain on air when he gets back because of differing opinions among Fox executives:

O’Reilly’s ultimate fate will be determined by Rupert Murdoch and his sons, who run Fox News parent company 21st Century Fox. One source close to the matter said their understanding is that Rupert, the Executive Chairman, would like to keep O’Reilly on air, while his son James, the Chief Executive Officer, is opposed to that idea. 21st Century Fox declined to comment.

Bye, Bill. Take all the time you need. In fact, you don’t have to come back at all.
