Former Pro Athlete Asking For A Break On Child Support For Son
Ex-NFL star Roddy White has headed to court over his child support payments – pleading with a judge to decrease the amount because his income has plummeted since leaving the NFL.
Roddy hit his baby mama Stacey Hott with legal papers in Georgia Court. He is pleading for a downward modification of the child support amount he currently pays.
He explained Hott is the mother of his son born in 2011. They reached a deal over child support and custody in 2012. Roddy has been paying $3,200 a month.
However, he said since that order there has been a substantial decrease in his income and financial status. Roddy played in the NFL from 2005-2015 and pulled in an estimated $65 million.
Roddy is pleading for the judge to decrease the support amount permanently, pointing out that if his baby mama doesn’t work with him he wants the judge to order her to pay his legal bills.
