Remember him???

Black Excellence: Throwback Honey Donnie Simpson Nominated By Radio Hall Of Fame

1980’s babies who were glued to BET back in the 1990’s remember Donnie Simpson. The D.C. native captured the hearts of many through Video Soul, a show he hosted for almost two decades on BET. The show started in 1983 and ended in 1997, playing during the week during prime time hours. Sigh! Donnie was bae back in the day (when BET still played music videos).

Outside of television, Simpson is also a seasoned radio jockey. The longtime radio personality has just been recognized by the National Radio Hall of Fame for his 30 years of service in the field.

Robert alexander, CEO of 360 wise posted the news to his twitter account, sending his congratulations.

Those green eyes need their own trademark! Congratulations Donnie, we hope to see you in the HOF. What is your favorite Video Soul memory???
