Things That Make You Go Hmmm: Sasheer Zamata Quietly Exited SNL This Weekend
A few years back there was a huge hoopla over Sasheer Zamata’s SNL audition but, this weekend there was barely a peep during her secret final bow off of the show. Viewers who looked closely noticed Leslie Jones shed a tear and plant a kiss on her Sasheer’s cheek as the credits were ready to role this weekend.
Sasheer confirmed her exit with an IG post, leaving people wondering.

Zamata joined the cast in 2014 and was the first black female cast member since Maya Rudolph left in 2007. She was their go-to person for impressions of Michelle Obama, Rihanna, Diana Ross and Solange Knowles.
Peculiar because the show acknowledged the departure of two other cast members, Bobby Moynihan and Vanessa Bayer, that night in a graduation sketch.
Welp! At least she didn’t get the Jay Pharaoh treatment, right?
