Race Matters: Potato-Faced Bill Maher Calls Himself A “House Ni**a” And His Weed Ain’t The Only Thing Smokin’

Bill Maher Drops N-Word On His Show And His Roasting Has Commenced

Bill Maher has rubbed people the wrong way for quite some time. The liberal talk show host has long history of offensive hot takes and off-color comedy based around race, religion and just about everything else. More recently Maher has been dragged over hot coals for his anti-islamic takes on terrorism.

Earlier this year, Bill received enormous backlash for having racist and misogynist douchebag Milo Yiannopoulos on his Real Time show to defend things like…adult men having sex with underaged boys. After which, footage emerged of Maher also defending child sexual abuse on his previous show, Politically Incorrect.

But after surviving all that, last night, Maher made the comment that might just bring his run of offensive shock-value punditry to an end.

While interviewing Nebraska’s Republican Sen. Ben Sasse, Maher saw an opening for a “joke” and just couldn’t help himself. He dropped an n-bomb and simultaneously put himself on the hottest eye on the outrage stove.

In the past 3 years we’ve seen people lose their careers for much, much less. The “joke” wasn’t funny and could only serve as kindling for the fire that is sautéing his kale salad soul on social media.

Being that his show on premium cable, there are no fleeing multi-million dollar advertisers to apply corporate pressure on Billy boy, but HBO damn sure don’t want these 140-character problems.

Maher has had a plethora of Black panelists on his show in the past, including Joy Ann Reid, Cornel West, Angela Rye, Larry Wilmore, Michael Eric Dyson, D.L. Hughley, Talib Kweli and many others. It will be VERY interesting to see who will accept an invitation to Real Time going forward.

What do you think? Is it time for Bill to bounce? See some reactions on the flip.
