Remy Ma Explains Performing “ShETHER” At Summer Jam
In a new interview with Hot 97’s Peter Rosenburg Remy first stated that she had a vision about her Summer Jam performance and decided to do a positive, “uplifting” set…
“I had a vision last night, I had a dream. I woke up and [I thought] I want to bring all the sisters out at Summer Jam,” said Remy.
“That’s what I want to do with my moment,” she added. “I told them I could stand there and use my 15, 20 minutes and slander somebody down to the ground. Or I could use it and make it a moment that people would remember, uplift my sisters, and show the unity and love.”
before eventually going into “ShETHER” to put flowers on someone’s grave. Hello Onika….
“It was kind of like putting flowers on the grave because the body was already gone,” said Remy.
And as for those recent disses from Nicki, Remy says she’s unbothered but wants someone to remember that it’s not about record sales and likes. “Everybody’s a queen,” said the “Love & Hip Hop” rapper.
“More importantly, people need to understand it’s not just one person,” said Remy. “It’s not just two people. It’s a whole slew of us. Everybody’s a queen.”
“Being a queen is not just [saying,] ‘I sold the most records’ or ‘I have the most followers on Instagram.’ It’s about embracing other queens that came before you, embracing the ones there with you now, and embracing the ones that are coming after you.”
Are YOU over the Nicki and Remy beef???
