Beyoncé was named the second most profitable mogul on the Forbes Hot 100 list and now she’s announced the winners of her Formation Scholarship.
The recipients were required to attend Berklee College of Music, Howard University, Parson School of Design or Spelman College. The scholarship’s goal is to “encourage and support young women who are unafraid to think outside the box and are bold, creative conscious and confident.” Meet the four recipients below:
Avery Youngblood attends Parsons School of Design where she studies Graphic Design.Her focus is multicultural linguistics and delving into the way people interact.
Sadiya Ramos attends Berklee College of Music and aims to spread awareness about police brutality through dance.
Bria Paige is a rising junior at Spellman college where she studies English. She plans on earning a doctorate and exploring the relationship between black feminists and political spaces.
Maya Rogers is a graduate student at Howard University. After a Trumatic brain injury, Maya decided to dedicate her life to music therapy because music heals.
