“Power” Season Four Returns This Sunday On Starz!

“Power’s” Naturi Naughton said viewers will see her character, Tasha, endure a ton of both love and pain on the new season of the show.

Noughton said Tasha will struggle to hold things together as her husband, James “Ghost” St. Patrick, languishes in jail for murder and Ghost’s nemesis, Kanan, kidnaps her oldest child.

“For Tasha, she is just really trying to pick up the pieces,” Noughton told BOSSIP. “Ghost is in jail. Tariq, my son, is missing. I think he’s been kidnapped and held for ransom. There’s so many things, and Tasha has to go into survival mode and protector mode.”

But Noughton said it won’t be all doom and gloom for Tasha, who has stuck by her husband despite his infidelity with childhood sweetheart, U.S. Attorney Angela Valdez.

“She also finds love this year, which is really nice,” Noughton said. “There’s a love interest for Tasha. It’s coming, and it’s nice to know that she gets to feel like a woman again. She’s felt abandoned in the last two seasons.”

The actress, who is set to give birth any day now, said filming with her three on-screen kids, including Tasha’s troubled son Tariq, helped her get ready for her own impending motherhood.

“It doesn’t scare me,” Noughton told BOSSIP. “If anything, it has prepared me. It has made me excited to be a mother. I think that instincts have kicked in naturally.”

She added: “Certain scenes, when you see the season, it’s a lot about motherhood, and what happens with the children. There’s going to be some pain, and hopefully I can learn from the mistakes Tasha has made, and not make those mistakes as Naturi.”
