Iggy Azalea and Azealia Banks Tease Their Upcoming Collaboration
Harlem jawn Azealia Banks and the white woman she lovingly called Itchy Areola are collaborating.
This rivalry has been going strong for years, the crux of it including Banks calling Iggy a, “clueless white girl” and getting heated that she was winning awards when the Black girls in Hip Hop do it better.
A couple weeks ago, Azealia Banks and Iggy Azalea let everybody on social media know that they were no longer at odds, with Iggy saying, “as adults we should move past trivial beef with strangers.” Before that, Banks posted a to-do list that got everyone talking because of her wishes to, “release this Iggy collab.”
Azalea then confirmed on her Twitter that Azealia’s list was indeed true, and the two really do have a song coming together called “Digital Distortion”–it’s going to be on Iggy’s upcoming album. After Iggy posted on her snapchat telling us to “freeze our wigs” for the upcoming collab (we’re good, honey) she took to Twitter to explain why she would do a song with someone she publicly hated.
It looks like the Azalea/Azealia beef has officially been squashed, and the two have new music coming. But who even asked for this??
It’s nice to see two women come together and work out their differences, but we could have done without the whole music part. Congrats on your new friendship, ladies!
