Madonna And Four Adopted Children Visit Malawi To See Hospital Opening
Madonna went back to Malawi with her four adopted children to see the opening of a brand new hospital wing. The new hospital digs were funded by Madonna’s own charity, Raising Malawi according to Page Six. At the ceremony, Madonna was actually named “daughter of this nation” by the Malawi president, according to reports.
“You started by adopting four Malawian children, now we are adopting you as the daughter of this nation,” President Peter Mutharika declared at the ceremony.
Madonna explained to the crowd that she just wants to give to the country where four of her kids are from. “There are so many things I never imagined I will do. I never imagined one day I will build this kind of a hospital.”
All four of Madonna’s kids are from the country, she adopted David Banda, Mercy James, Stelle and Estere. The children’s wing was named after 11-year-old Mercy.
