Martin Shkreli Allegedly Used $10,000 In His Company’s Money On Hov Tickets
Martin Shkreli–the same guy who bought that Wu-Tang album for $2 million and upped the price of AIDs medication–may have spent $10,000 on Jay Z tickets, but not of his own money. He founded his latest company, Retrophin, in 2011; the company’s accountant revealed in court that records show him spending 10 G’s from Retrophin’s funds on Hov tickets, and this was at a time when the company didn’t have much more than that in their name.
In addition to the concert tickets, records also indicate that Shkreli has allegedly transferred over $1 million from the company to a personal account. This is all coming out of the woodwork because Wendy Spalding, Retrophin’s accountant, was tapped to review Shkreli’s financial records for prosecutors during his widely covered securities fraud trial.
This is just the latest in Shkreli x Hip Hop news, as he’s always trying to get himself into the latest rap headlines. Most recently, Lil Wayne allegedly threatened legal action against Martin after he leaked some tracks from his highly-anticipated ‘Tha Carter V.’
