Louis Vuitton Cancels Future Supreme Collaboration Pop-Up Shops
Louis Vuitton client services have confirmed that the Supreme x Louis Vuitton collaboration “will no longer be sold in any stores or online.”
According to a Louis Vuitton sales representative at the SoHo pop-up location, the Supreme x Louis Vuitton drop that was scheduled for July 14th has been cancelled. Not only that store, but all pop-up locations throughout the country have been cancelled from this point on. The first pop-up shops in foreign cities including London, Sydney, Paris, and Seoul all opened and functioned according to plan. The only planned release within the states that actually occurred happened in Los Angeles.
There was no official reason announced for the cancellation of further releases, which was to include New York, Supreme’s headquarters. Though this does not come as too much of a shock, many sneaker and streetwear releases have been shut down in New York due to crazy crowd behavior. The Manhattan Community Board denied the request for a space to hold the pop up in SoHo early in May.
The name of the game not for everyone who couldn’t buy is resell, which means dishing out thousands of dollars.
