One Of Bakari Henderson Alleged Attackers Speaks After Posting Bail
One of the nine men who were initially arrested for beating Bakari Henderson to death in Greece has been released on bail and is now speaking out about the hateful and fatal attack.
According to the NYDailyNews, Nenad Jovanovic, has returned to his native Serbia and says he is not responsible in any way for Bakari’s death.
“I am happy to be home,” he told B92 television.
The 22-year-old added that he was “at the wrong place at the wrong time.”
“I saw big chaos, pushing around, nothing else,” he said.
Based on Jovanovic’s statement, he feels relieved to have skated away scot-free from criminal charges:
“I expect to continue with my life, I am a free man. I am sorry about the young man,” he said, referring to Henderson. “Nobody deserves that.”
The police obviously arrested this kid for a reason. Getting bail isn’t exactly an acquittal.
Bakari Henderson’s funeral will take place today in his hometown of Austin, Texas.
