50 Cent Discusses His New Album on Access Hollywood
Curtis Jackson appeared on Access Holywood to discuss his show ‘Power,’ and the possibility of him releasing new music in the near future. We all know by now that 50 called Jay Z’s latest musical effort, ‘4:44,’ “golf course music,” claiming that it’s “too smart.” In saying that, he adds that the climate of music today is definitely melody-driven, and the lyrics themselves are dumbed down.
After 50 brought up the fact that he has an album he’s been waiting to put out, he adds, “I think you do got to kind of dumb down the material to fit into what the culture is producing. Now, it’s more melody-driven; it’s not as sophisticated as it was when I first came in.”
His album is supposedly going to be released before the end of the year, and he assures everybody that it’s going to be music that doesn’t require too much thinking. He wants his music to be something to enjoy on a night out that you don’t have to overanalyze.
