Petty Dollar Store Thief Popped After Assaulting Clerk With Umbrella

A 35-year-old woman from Louisville Kentucky had the bright idea to rob a local dollar store, and when confronted by the store’s cashier, she assaulted her with an umbrella. WDRB says 35-year-old Shavon Allen walked into the store with an empty purse and filled it all the way up with the $1 store merchandise. She thought no one peeped her petty purse maneuver, but she was spotted being sheisty by a cashier.

When the employee of the store tried to stop her, Allen allegedly pushed her and assaulted her with an umbrella, before escaping with the stolen stuff. Reportedly, the cashier suffered a cut to her face and “back pain” from the altercation. The entire ordeal was caught on surveillance, leading the police to the umbrella bearing broad in a line up.

The poor woman was taken into custody Tuesday afternoon by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and charged with first degree robbery.
