Chad Johnson Impersonator Caught Up In LV Store

A man in downtown Aspen was arrested after he tried to use Chad Ochocinco’s identity to buy $18,000 worth of merchandise in the downtown Louis Vuitton store.  Mervin Cabe of Miami told employees he was the former NFL star. The Aspen Times reported that customers must have a “profile ID” at the Louis Vuitton store to make purchase. Cabe tried passing himself off as Chad Johnson, but he gave store employees the wrong birthday which led to his demise.

Ochocinco is known for his interactions within the Twitterverse, so of course he took a laugh at this interesting incident with a tweet replying to the side-by-side pictures of him and Cabe:

Mervin Cabe was charged with a pair of felonies for identity theft and unauthorized use of a financial transaction device. After being caught, he told officers, “You’re going to have to take me … to jail. I’ve done something bad,”
