Artist Turned TV Show Judge Chats With Bossip
The Dream may have recently announced that his wife is pregnant with his eighth child, but the artist has another baby of sorts that’s coming down the pipeline.
The “Falsetto” singer, whose real name Terius Nash, made his television debut Thursday night on VH1’s “Signed,” where he, music industry exec Lenny S. and Rick Ross search for the next big thing in urban music.
“The motivation was simply bringing the culture to TV in a real way,” The Dream told us. “If it wasn’t people I would normally deal with, I wasn’t gonna do it. For me, that was the most attractive thing.”
The show is The Dream’s first foray into reality TV, a challenge that he said was exciting and frightening at the same time.
“There were some parts of my life that were like a reality show,” The Dream said. “(But) I have to sacrifice a little bit of myself to get this thing done, and if I can affect five or six more people in the culture with this, then I can die a happy man.”
Although lately The Dream’s been busy scouting for new talent and releasing new music – his new single, “Summer Body” featuring Fabulous is out and he’s getting ready to drop a new album, “Love Affair” – he’s also gearing up for the arrival of his little bundle of joy.
“Every year, around this time you know?” The Dream joked about siring his new seed. “Dream loves the kids.”
