Nick Cannon Host Of “Lip Sync Battle” Spin-Off

Nick Cannon’s latest hosting gig comes in the form of a children’s spin-off of popular Spike program, “Lip Sync Battle.” The kids version, “Lip Sync Battle Shorties,” will feature children performing to some of their favorite songs, much like the original show. Along with Cannon as host, 14-year-old social media sensation JoJo Siwa will be on the show as a sidekick, providing commentary on the performances.

Nick said about the show, “I’m excited to host the first season of ‘Lip Sync Battle Shorties,’ it’s always a pleasure to work with my family at Nickelodeon. It’s going to be a lot of fun watching the kids lip-sync their favorite songs and perform like their favorites artists.”

This series comes after Nick aired a “Lip Sync Battle Shorties” special in December of last year that drew in over 2 million viewers. The show is set to premiere in 2018 and will span 10 episodes in the first season. The episodes are going to feature children lip-syncing pop songs by their favorite artists. Each episode will also feature a 10-person backup crew, and the program will conclude each time with a special celebrity appearance.
