Tyler, The Creator Taps Some Special Friends For Webster Hall Show
Tyler, The Creator’s latest album “Flower Boy” was released on July 21, and ever since then the Odd Future alum has been on top of the world. His first week sales came in second after Lana Del Rey, and his shoe collaboration with Converse sold out within the first day. Plus, his new show “Nuts + Bolts” premiered on Viceland last night.
In a now deleted tweet, Tyler announced on Wednesday that his shoes would be at the 34th Street Footlocker NYC location, and the first few people who purchased them would also get tickets to a concert the next day. The show ended up being a super intimate performance at Webster Hall, and Tyler tapped some of his oldest friends to perform with him.
Everyone’s favorite recluse Frank Ocean and fashion king ASAP Rocky were the guests of the night, and everyone freaked out. The fans went wildddd and Twitter was blowing up all night with jealousy from Hip-Hop fans everywhere who weren’t in attendance. Bigger artists going back to their roots and playing intimate shows is always a big hit, and shows artists still like to pay tribute to their Day 1’s.
