Toddler Found Secured To A Tree Without Any Food Or Water
A man in California was arrested after his 2-year-old son was found tied to the branch of a tree, lacking any food or water. The child was found in a homeless encampment, and according to police, “the rope was tied around the child’s wrist and secured to a tree branch.” Not only that, but the kid didn’t have any clothing on, either. The police added, “the child was also lacking basic food and water, was only clothed in a diaper, and was exposed to numerous hazards within the encampment.”
The man in question is Jeffery Wilson, who was charged with felony child neglect and abuse, possession of a controlled substance, and trespassing after police arrived at the makeshift camp last week, according to the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office. “Upon further examination, deputies observed several weapons and other dangerous items within the reach of the child that could cause great bodily harm to the child,” police continued in the statement.
The child is now safely in the custody of Child Protective Services, there is a 57-year-old woman who, according to police, is also described as a victim in the incident. Wilson was booked into Mendocino County Jail on $10, 000 bail and released on Wednesday.
