Eric Garner’s Family Awarded $4 Million

After being awarded a $5.9 million settlement, the family of Eric Garner has been given some of the money they were promised. As previously reported Eric Garner’s relatives wanted $75 million from the city of New York but settled for much less in 2015.

Now two years later, $4 million of the payout is theirs.

According to The New York Post, a Staten Island judge approved nearly $4 million in payments to the family.

The Post reports that Garner’s 3-year-old daughter, Legacy Jayleen Garner-Miller will receive $1.3 million, while his widow Esaw Snipes, will receive around $1.4 million.

Garner’s other daughters Erica and Emerald Snipes will each receive $163,600 and their older brother Eric will get $204,000. Eric’s other son Emery, who is a minor, will receive $482,000.

Do YOU think this money is enough for the pain and suffering Eric Garner family’s endured???
