Tidal Can’t Keep The Same CEO For More Than A Few Months
Tidal’s last CEO, Jeff Toig, left the company a few months back in March. Now, Tidal has finally landed a new CEO–which just so happens to be their fourth in a little over two years. According to Variety, Richard Sanders, who is the former president of Kobalt Music Group, is the new CEO of the Tidal.
Before leaving his 5-year run at Kobalt back in May, his resume includes acting as the president of global marketing at Sony Music, and an executive positions at RCA and Arista Records.
During the gap in Tidal leadership, Sprint CEO Marcelo Claure joined Tidal’s board after Sprint acquired a 33% stake in the streaming service. Claure has been working closely with JAY-Z and Desiree Perez to manage the Tidal throughout their transition period.
There is no official statement from Tidal as of yet regarding their new CEO Richard Sanders.
