Bus Driver Arrested For DUI
A Georgia bus driver is making national headlines for her dangerous behavior. Carole Etheridge was taken into custody Monday after authorities say she was driving under the influence with 31 children on board.
The bus driver who’s also been fired after taking a field sobriety test was busted with a large bottle of tequila, four small bottles of vodka and four bottles of prescription pills in her purse.
According to Channel 2 Action News, Ehteridge was pulled over after a student on the bus called their parents and told them something was off.
She’s now charged with DUI and 16 counts of endangering a child.
Late Wednesday afternoon, Gwinnett County schools, a different school district than the one she was currently working in, confirmed to Channel 2’s Tony Thomas that Etheridge used to be one of their drivers but was fired in January due to “unsatisfactory behavior.”
