Category 5 Hurricane Irma Headed Toward Puerto Rico And Caribbean

Just a week after watching the devastation that Hurricane Harvey unleashed on the states of Texas and Louisiana, another U.S. state is bracing for the impact of another catastrophic weather event.

According to CNN, Hurricane Irma is now a top-rated category 5 storm with wind speeds clocking in at 175 mph…and it’s headed straight for Puerto Rico and other Caribbean islands.

If the movement of the storm holds form, the National Hurricane Center predicts that Antigua and Barbuda late today and Puerto Rico by Wednesday. Experts believe that Irma could make U.S. landfall in Florida going into the weekend. No word on how bad it will be as there will likely be some decrease in wind speeds by Friday.

Puerto Rican people are currently going through the same safety precautions that the residents of Texas did last weekend.

Our prayers are with all of our Caribbean folks. This looks like it’s going to be REALLY bad. If you live in south Florida, we highly suggest you start getting supplies together now. Don’t wait until sh!t hits the fan…
