United Together: Celebrities Show Their Support For Dreamers By Defending DACA
Celebrities Show Their Support For Dreamers
Any time major events happen throughout our society, many look to celebrities to use their platform for a good cause.
If you don’t know, DACA stands for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals and was founded by the Obama administration in 2012. It’s essentially a work permit for immigrants who were brought here by their parents as minors, many of them who could have only lived in foreign countries as infants–the only life they know is America.
Of course when the Trump administration decided to end the program, outrage rightfully ensued. Many celebrities and politicians have showed out to make sure their support of DACA recipients is known, and it’s encouraged many to act on their support as well.
Hit the flip to take a look at the celebrities taking a stand against Trump’s ending of DACA, and call your local representatives to show your support as well.
