NFL Rejects LVPD’s Request To Investigate Michael Bennet’s False Arrest
You can’t be serious. The Las Vegas Police Department had the audacity to ask the NFL to look into “obvious false allegations” after he put them on blast for being prejudice and violent in recently. According to CBS, the NFL and Commissioner Roger Goodell wasn’t buying their BS.
“There is no allegation of a violation of the league’s personal conduct policy and therefore there is no basis for an NFL investigation,” NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy wrote in response to the LVPD’s request, via ESPN.com.
NFLPA executive director DeMaurice Smith also issued a statement: “There are no grounds for the NFL to investigate our union rep, and I look forward to Roger confirming the same.”
Like c’mon! Stop trying to spin this, wrong is wrong. The police are disputing Bennett’s claims of racial profiling, but video footage of the incident tells the truth. SMH. What else will they try to come up with next?
