Ezra Koenig’s New Anime Series Is Coming September 22
Vampire Weekend frontman Ezra Koenig’s latest venture is a Netflix series, and it’s coming very soon. The star-studded cast is something you probably wouldn’t have expected from an anime, but the show stars Jaden Smith, Desus Nice, and The Kid Mero among other notable names.
‘Neo Yokio’ follows the adventures of bored teen bachelor Kaz Kaan, a citizen of the fictional city of Neo Yokio (which pretty much looks like a futuristic Manhattan). Others in the cast include Steve Buscemi, Willow Smith, and Susan Surandon.
The series drops on September 22, and even if you don’t usually watch anime, it’ll probably be entertaining if it’s anything similar to Jaden Smith’s tweets.
