Somalia Bomb Attack
More than 300 people are dead and hundreds more are wounded in the deadliest attack in a decade in Somalia. Reuters reports that twin bomb explosions in Mogadishu caused the casualties. Hospitals are packed and hundreds of charred bodies ruled unrecognizable have already been buried by the government.
So far no terror group has taken responsibility but Reuters adds that Islamist militant group al Shabaab that began an insurgency in 2007, stages regular attacks in the capital and other parts of the country. The terror group is linked to al Qaeda.
