NFL Invites Colin Kaepernick To A Meeting With Owners And Players About Race Issues

Colin Kaepernick To Attend NFL Owners’ Meeting

Colin Kaepernick has been invited back to the NFL…sort of.

The NFL has reportedly extended an invitation to Colin to join several team owners and players in their ongoing conversation about the racial equality movement certain passionate players are protesting the anthem over. It’s only right, since Colin sort of started the whole “I’m not standing for the anthem” thing in the league.

Kaepernick’s lawyer tells Sports Illustrated that no one reached out to invite him to LAST week’s meeting in NYC, where owners and players had a sitdown regarding the ongoing “take a knee” protests during the national anthem.

NFL spokesman Joe Lockhart said the league was unsure if he would actually show up, so they didn’t bother calling.

However, Colin is happy to attend and the players are reportedly happy to have him stop by.

The timing of this invite is interesting, given Kaepernick’s pending case against the NFL’s owners for collusion.

Hopefully, this goes well for all attendants.
