Paul Manafort Surrenders To FBI Over Mueller Investigation Charges
On Saturday, we reported that a grand jury had approved the first charges in special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election.
Today, per the New York Times, former Trump campaign boss Paul Manafort and his former business partner, Rick Gates, have been surrendered to the FBI to answer for the accusations against them.
Although the indictment hasn’t been publicly uncovered, MSNBC is reporting that the crimes are said to be financial. Allegedly, Manafort and Gates hid money from the U.S. government and never paid taxes on roughly $75 million that were manipulated in off-shore bank accounts.
That said, these financially-related crimes doesn’t mean that other charges regarding Russia won’t be filed as well against Manafort.
1000% sure that there is a lil’ poop in Donald Trump’s pants right now.
