LiAngelo Ball Arrested For Shoplifting In China

Hard to understand why someone who is attached to a company called “Big Baller Brand” would need to steal, but that’s exactly why LiAngelo Ball and 2 of his UCLA teammates have been arrested.

According to ESPN, Lavar Ball’s baby boy, Cody Riley and Jalen Hill were handcuffed in CHINA and charged with shoplifting. It’s said that the boys were in the Louis Vuitton store and pocketed a pair of expensive sunglasses.

The LiAngelo, Cody and Jalen have been released on bail, but are forced to remain in their hotel until the legal process is completed.

Here’s what the ever-talkative Daddy Ball had to say:

As he was leaving the hotel later Wednesday, LaVar said: “I’m going to wait until I get some more intel on what’s going on, and then I can tell you what’s up.”

Asked if he was worried about LiAngelo, LaVar said, “He’ll be fine. He’ll be fine. Everybody making it a big deal. It ain’t that big of a deal.”

It ain’t??? Last we heard China is NOT the place you want to be arrested and charged with a crime. In fact, according to Yahoo! Sports, the three alleged thieves are facing 3-10 years in prison under Chinese law.

Guess a few years really ain’t that big a deal to Lavar and his “ballin'” family.
